Upload FTP Backups With Unstable Internet

I’ve been trying to move some work backups from an old FTP server into OneDrive, but my internet connection drops way too often. Whenever I start downloading something big, it fails halfway through and I have to start over from scratch. It’s getting frustrating, especially since these backups are important and I really don’t want to risk corrupting anything. Is there a safer way to handle the transfer so I’m not relying on long, unstable downloads?

I’ve dealt with that too, especially when trying to bridge ftp access to onedrive https://mac.eltima.com/ftp-to-onedrive/ for a remote client who also had spotty Wi-Fi. What ended up working much better was using a method described on mac.eltima. It let me mount both the FTP server and OneDrive directly in Finder, so the transfer didn’t depend on one long uninterrupted download. If the connection hiccuped, it didn’t ruin the whole process — it just resumed where it needed to. Much less stressful than doing it manually.
