Includes records for multilingual items, items that involve translation, and items where the medium of communication is a sign language. Sources of the codes are: MARC Code List for Languages or other code lists such as ISO 639-1 (Codes for the representation of names of languages - Part 1 : alpha-2 code).

Use Subtitle Language to see which languages PowerPoint can display on-screen as captions or subtitles, and select the one you want. Several spoken languages are supported as voice input to live captions & subtitles in PowerPoint for Microsoft 365. The languages marked as Preview are offered in advance of full support, and generally will have somewhat lower accuracy, which will improve over time.
The codes for the languages associated with an item when the fixed-field element Lang is insufficient to convey full information for multilingual items, items that are translations, or items where a medium of communication is a sign language.
For audio recordings, use for the language code of the accompanying material summaries that are not full translations of vocal works. Use also if a nonmusical audio recording has summaries of its contents as accompanying material.
This online and free subtitle translator can quickly translate subtitles from one language to another. Once the automatic translation is done, you can also manually edit/refine the translations, and then export the translated subtitles back to the original format.
Important: The only exception to this rule are the paid translations. Where only the translated subtitles, not the original, are stored on my server for upto seven days from the date of translation. These are only kept for auditing and recovery processes, and are not shared with, nor accessible to any other third party companies.
