I Attended Applebee now and fortuitously I looked on the website before leaving our local restaurant did not have a copy of the list of free dairy products. They were really helpful, but I was disappointed. In addition, the number of tickets free milk is limited. I had the jalapeno lime shrimp was very good.
Applebee's has more than 2,000 restaurants, and is one of the world's largest casual dining brands in the world. Founded in 1980 by Bill and T.J. Palmer, Applebee's offers classic bar-and-grill menu items and quality service in a neighborhood setting. in November of 2007, Applebee's joined together with IHOP to form a super-brand. This new corporate brand is called DineEquity and boasts more than 3,700 (Applebee's and IHOP) restaurants in 19 countries and a 99%-franchised system of more than 400 franchisee partners.
Next time your group of friends is looking for somewhere to eat, drink, and not go broke in the process, it's pretty likely that you'll end up at an Applebee's. They're everywhere, and it's basically designed for big groups. They've got a huge menu that's good for sharing (especially apps), and if you're gluten-free, it means that you have plenty of options for a meal. Luckily for you, Applebee's gluten-free options are ample and just as delicious as the rest of the menu.
#SpoonTip: On their allergen information page, Applebee's explains that because of shared cooking and preparation areas in the kitchen, they are "unable to guarantee that any menu item can be completely free of allergens. So, if you have celiac or a serious allergy, you're probably better off hitting up happy hour for a $1 cocktail.
You're at Applebee's for a reason (i.e. to be as full as possible at the lowest possible cost). Get that job done with a platter or a basket of riblets. They're all you can eat for $12.99, and they're completely gluten-free.
Simple, yummy, and technically gluten-free. However, be careful when ordering these if anyone at the table is highly sensitive or intolerant to gluten. There's a higher chance for cross-contamination here because the chips are fried in oil that items with gluten (specifically their bomb mozzarella sticks) may have come into contact with.
A solid 75% of the fun of a meal is the sides (and that's a conservative estimate), and Applebee's has got plenty of options. Surprisingly, almost all of them are gluten-free (unless you're tryna order the mac and cheese, onion rings, and the maple pecan sweet potatoes).
If the potential of trace amounts of gluten isn't an issue, there are some pretty solid menu options that you should be ordering. Applebee's gluten-free options are pretty bomb, and won't leave you starving at the end of the meal. I'll cheers a $1 drink to that.

While many restaurants tailor their menus to simplicity with a focus on the type of cuisine, Applebee's, touted as the "Neighborhood Bar and Grill," has a menu that reads like a laundry list of all-American delights, complete with plenty of fried delicacies. As you navigate the potential minefield of a menu choice that could potentially result in a freezer-burned entrée or disappointing appetizer, what should you really order?
Though the restaurant chain may have received some flack over the years, like the one former line cook who, according to their Reddit post, calls it 'Microbees' for the chain's alleged use of microwaves to cook darn near everything on the menu. However, Applebee's does, in fact, have appliances other than the microwave and dishwasher. You've just got to know what to avoid. We're spilling the tea on what dishes the employees of Applebee's won't even eat so you can be better informed for your next visit.
With calorie counting, the usually delightful task of going out to dinner can be drained of any fun. Many restaurant chains have been quick to adapt to the dietary needs of their customers, ready to hop on board with in an attempt to attract customers. What was once impossible to do years ago is now feasible as dieters can dine out with ease thanks to many spots now offering a selection of clearly marked items just for them. So, to welcome dieters trying to lose an extra few, Applebee's launched a new low-calorie menu back in 2012 (via Foodbeast).
With this under-550 calorie menu, diners were led to believe that they could still have that same great flavor with much less guilt. The health-conscious could finally indulge in some sizzling chili lime chicken or even a roasted garlic sirloin, ads implied. Yet, according to Redbook, one employee divulged that not all of the offerings are actually under 550 calories. The dishes are calculated using the Weight Watchers point system, an arguably inefficient method that means some items have well over their claimed amount of calories. Furthermore, just because an item is lower in calories does not mean it can't max out your daily allotment of fats and salt. One former Applebee's employee joked on a Reddit thread that "most of it is loaded with so much fat and sodium that it'll kill you just by looking at it funny."
In a Reddit thread discussing this Applebee's menu item, one user notes that a steak was somehow "undercooked and burnt" at the same time. The reality made it even more cringeworthy when another user realized that the sad steak salad came out to more than $22. A former staff member, who calls himself a former "Crapplebee's manager", explained: "honestly, it's freezer burned, vacuum packed, faux color-saturated meat. You pay 20 dollars for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and drinks; you get what you pay for. Regardless of this salad being $22, profit margins come from somewhere and Applebees is failing." If you're still asking yourself 'Where's the beef?', just head to one of these steakhouses that serves up quality steaks worthy of your hard-earned dollars. 041b061a72
